An information retrieval apparatus having a CPU (1) which causes a retrieval conditions entered through an input device (2) to be stored in a memory (8) together with titles entered through the input device(2). The CPU (1) also calls titles of the retrieval conditions stored in the memory (8) to cause a list of the titles to be displayed on a display unit (3), so that required titles can be selected from the title list for retrieval condition setting.
