A clamping unit (10) for a tool, in particular a drill bit, has an eccentric receiving bore (22) for a collet chuck (24). The latter, for its part, has an eccentric receiving bore (32) for the tool (11), so that, by turning the tool in the tool-receiving bore (32) and by turning the collet chuck (24) in the chuck-receiving bore (22), axial deviations of the tool tip can be compensated. <IMAGE>
