The present invention relates to an impervious covering comprising at least one external layer of meltable material in which a particulate conductive material is incorporated into the surface. It also relates to a process for fixing to a support and for joining with another impervious covering an impervious covering comprising an external layer made of a meltable material loaded with a particulate conductor. It also relates to a welding device comprising a high-frequency generator, an induction coil and means for controlling the speed of movement. Applications: the sealing of terraces, roofing, swimming pools, tunnels.
