The invention relates to a locking device having contact-free coupling of data and power flows between electronics in a key and an electronic circuit arrangement in a lock, especially of a lock cylinder, the data flows being transmitted via at least one capacitance whose one electrode is formed on the lock and whose other electrode is formed on the key. Especially for high transmission reliability, the invention proposes that a capacitance (capacitor 31, 32), which is formed by parts of the lock (lock cylinder 23) and of the key, likewise be provided for transmitting electrical power. <IMAGE>
