Tramway transport device

The tramway transport device consists of a length of rail 3 on which a wheel flange-guided, driveless train configuration 1 runs and of a length of rail 4 which is arranged parallel thereto and on which a traction/pushing vehicle 2 is positively guided. The traction/pushing vehicle 2 has a driver 9 which can be pivoted into the travel path of the train configuration 1 and by means of which the train configuration 1 is driven by the vehicle 2 in push mode or traction mode. The driver 9 is attached to the supporting element 12 of the traction/pushing vehicle 2 so as to be capable of swivelling about a vertical axis 13, the swivelling position of the driver 9 being controlled by a lifting cylinder 14 which is subjected to, or relieved of, pressure by a control device in accordance with the curvature of the track section which the vehicle is travelling on at a particular moment. In this way, it is ensured that the driver 9 is always situated perpendicular to the length of track 3 of the wheel flange-guided train configuration 1 and thus application of force takes place parallel to the rails. <IMAGE>
