The invention relates to a riding saddle with stirrups and stirrup leathers. The riding saddle or one of the stirrups has a winding device with a band which can be pulled out of it forming a mounting loop for the rider and the mounting loop of which is arranged, in the effective and pulled-out state of the band, at a fixed height underneath the stirrup and at a given height so that the rider can conveniently insert his foot into the mounting loop on mounting, and which is retracted into the winding device after actuation of a release.
