#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves determining operation information of a particle filter (1), where the data represent the temperature within the filter at an instant. The temperature of the filter is raised above a threshold of the combustion temperature of soot contained in the filter during the regeneration of the filter. A parameter, variable in time and representative of the quantity of energy produced at an instant by the regeneration, is calculated. A balanced parameter is calculated by multiplying the former parameter with a function that is variable with the representative temperature. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for controlling the regeneration of a particle filter provided at a flue gas exhaust line of a combustion engine (claimed) e.g. spark ignition engine, where the filter is utilized to reduce the quantity of particles emitted in the atmosphere by the engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The calculation of the balanced parameter permits evaluating the change in regeneration in a better manner, thus preventing the risk of damaging the filter. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a device adapted to implement a regeneration control method. 1 : Particle filter 2 : Exhaust line 3 : Particles 4 : Controller 5 : Flue gas. |
