The invention relates to a tool coupling for rotating and stationary cutting tools, such as drilling and turning tools, consisting of a tool head carrying the cutting tool and having a tapered tang, a tool holder having a tapered locating bore, and a clamping mechanism for axially restraining the tool head and tool holder. The tool coupling according to the invention is characterised in that the tapered tang (4) of the tool head (3) and the tapered locating bore (2) of the tool holder (1) are designed as a double taper consisting of a front, short section (8, 5) with a large taper angle (@, alpha ) and a rear, long section (9, 6) with a small taper angle (ss), and in that the taper angle (@) of the front, short section (8) of the tapered tang (4) is slightly larger than the taper angle ( alpha ) of the front, short section (5) of the tapered locating bore (2). The tool coupling proposed according to the invention is preferably used in tool systems for automatic tool change on machining centres. <IMAGE> |
