DC/DC converters are known which have four controllable semiconductor switches in a bridge circuit. The new arrangement is intended to be suitable for operation at high supply voltages and at the same time to have a low power loss. The push-pull DC/DC converter has an inductive input and four semiconductor switches in a bridge circuit, one of whose diagonals contains the transformer and the other the input voltage source. The storage inductance consists of magnetically coupled inductors which release the stored energy to the transformer. The output voltage is continuous. The DC/DC converter according to the invention can, in particular, be used for operation at high supply voltages.
