<p>PURPOSE:To speed up and simplify conversion and to remove the a block stain in the communication of a moving picture by using the product of a matrix which edits the picture and executes a filtering operation an inverse orthogonal transform matrix as a new transform matrix. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal is separated into a luminance signal Y, color difference signals C1 and C2 and they are written into a frame memory 3. With an orthogonal transform circuit 4, the signals are converted into coefficients equivalent to frequency components. At that time, the product of the matrix which edits the picture and executes linear filtering and the orthogonal transform matrix is provided in a coefficient memory 5 as the new transform matrix in addition to the orthogonal transform matrix, and they are suitably switched with adjusting to the content of the editing and the number of transmission frames. Thus, transformation is speeded up and simplified, and the block stain in the communication of the moving picture can be removed.</p> |
