PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to constitute an optical circuit in a narrow space by leading a part of the light from a light source into a core by an inclined end face and directly leading another part of the light to a lens and a reflection plate. CONSTITUTION:A core 3 to be an optical waveguide is buried in a substrate 2 of an optical circuit board 1, and one end face of the core 3 is formed into an inclined end face 4 having 45 deg. to the thickness direction of the circuit board 1. A light source 5 and a reflector consisting of a lens 8 and a reflection plate 7 are provided in the vicinity of the inclined end face 4. In this constitution, a part of light 9 from the light source 5 is reflected on the inclined end face 4 and is propagated in the core 3, and another part of light 9 is directly led to the reflection plate 7. Thus, a spectroscope is not used to reduce the number of parts, and the optical circuit is constituted in a narrow space. |
