PURPOSE:To ensure an effective application of a main storage without duplicating the memories of a debug device, by converting the address information of a microprocessor to be debugged into an address of the debug device. CONSTITUTION:The address information given from a microprocessor 1 to be debugged is stored in a register 3, and a part of the address information is used as an address signal 33 of an RAM 30. Then the remaining address signals 32 are fed directly to a buffer 6. The RAM 30 stores a protecting region flag, a mapping flag and a part of the address signal which is needed for an access to be given to a device 12 to be debugged. Then the RAM 30 converts the signal 33, i.e., a part of address information delivered from the processor 1 into an address signal 31 of the device 12, and the signal 31 is recomposed to an access address to be given to the main storage of the device 12. Thus it is possible to use the device 12 effectively without duplicating the main storage of the device 12. |
