PURPOSE:To make manufacture of a battery more effective by fixing subject metal to be alloyed directly at a battery cell by ultrasonic welding and using Li alloy for a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:Subject metal to be alloyed to compose Li in the alloy is fixed directly at a battery cell by ultrasonic welding without disposing a current collecting body between them. There is no particular restriction to be the alloy forming metal to form alloy of Li, so Al, Mg, In, Pb, Sn, Bi, Sb, Tl, Zn, Cd, etc., or alloy of any such metal may be used to be applicable to a purpose. An electrode of Li alloy can thus be produced easily and in a short time for a secondary battery using Li alloy, and a Li alloy electrode where almost no Li exists can be obtained. A Li alloy electrode usable for a coin type battery, a button type battery, or a thin battery can therefore be produced with advantages concerning workability, cost, etc. |
