<p>PURPOSE:To perform work without generating a feeling of physical disorder in the sensor of a plotting operation by providing an instructing member having a tip whose thickness can be varied by depressing a flat member, and a detecting means to detect the position information of the instructing member. CONSTITUTION:A beam of light emitted from an X-axis light emitting LED 1A and a Y-axis light emitting LED 1B is shielded by a brush type input device 5 or passes without being shielded by the device 5, and a light signal is detected by an X-axis light receiving sensor 2A and a Y-axis light receiving sensor 2B corresponding to the light shielding or the passage of the beam of light by the input device 5. The light-receiving sensor 2A and 2B convert the light signal to an electrical signal, and the electrical signal is analyzed by a CPU 4, then, the position information and the area information corresponding to a contact area S of the input device 5 are found. Thereby, since it is possible not only to detect the position information but to read information to vary the area, read information can be correlated to a continuous sense in manual write, and the work can be performed without generating the feeling of physical disorder in the sense of the image plotting operation.</p> |
