PURPOSE:To enable a capacitor to be realized compactly by using a polymer ion conductor for electric double-layer capacitor which uses activated charcoal at both poles. CONSTITUTION:It is a capacitor which uses a polymer ion conductor 1 as an electrolyte. The materials of activated charcoal include natural organic polymer, synthetic organic polymer, or pitch. The natural organic polymer includes coconut shell and white oak, and the synthetic organic polymer include semi-synthetic polymers in addition to pure-synthetic polymers such as polyvinyl alcohol, phenol resin, and polyacrylonitride. Also, activated charcoal is used in fiber-like and powder-like configuration. Polymer ion conductors include a complex body which consists of a polymer with an improved dielectric constant and electrolyte sources such as salt, acid, or alkali and ion polymers such as cationic ones and anionic ones. And, a polymer ion conductor with an electrical conductance of 10<-6>(s/cm) is used. Compound-type polymer ion electrical conductor to be used includes cyanoethyl cellulose, cyanoethyl sucrose, cyanoethyl PVA, etc. |
