PURPOSE:To enable the formation of a protective film having satisfactory heat and moisture resistances, rapid curability and adhesive property in a short time and to improve reliability at the time of use over a long period by forming a protective film based on a polymer prepd. by cationic photopolymn. on an optical recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A polycarbonate resin substrate 1 having a spiral guide groove on the surface is formed and an SiO layer 2 and a layer 3 of an optical memory material are laminated on the substrate 1. The layer 3 is then coated with a mixture of a polymer prepd. by cationic photopolymn. with alicyclic epoxy resin to form a protective layer 4 and this layer 4 is cured by irradiation with UV. An optical recording medium can be produced in a short time. |
