BASE SEQUENCE FOR CODING N-TERMINAL AMINO ACID SEQUENCE OF FLAGELLIN HAVING DISCHARGE FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a base sequence capable of coding an N-terminal amino acid sequence having discharge function in flagellin of Escherichia coli or an amino acid sequence having the discharge function equal thereto. CONSTITUTION:The structure of a part (peptide) required to discharge flagellin of Escherichia coli is elucidated by paying attention to a discharge mechanism concerning extracellular production of a desired peptide by integrating a gene capable of coding the desired peptide in a vector and cultivating a host microorganism transformed therewith. Extracellularly discharged hybrid proteins can be readily collected by affinity column chromatography utilizing antiflagellin antibody. Peptides derived from flagellin can be removed from the hybrid proteins to afford the aimed protein.
