The vehicle suspension has two wheel supports either side of the vehicle's longitudinal axis. There is also a U-shaped stabiliser rod which cooperates with the wheel supports and the body work. The rod is guided in two spaced apart bearings and at whose arm ends, there are connector pieces. A linear actuator is engaged between one of the moment arms and the associated wheel support or between one of the bearings and the body work. This actuator causes a torsion in the stabiliser rod for a predetermined response to vehicle movement or steering movement. The system operates with an electronic controller.
