This sliding door device leads a roller arm, arranged in the top side of the door, into a rail which is provided on the car body. An arm is fixed on a bracket mounted on the top side of the door by hinge. This arm has a roller on the other side which is provided to be set onto the rail. A spiral spring is arranged on the arm. One end of the spring in the coiled-part is inserted into the hinge pin, and the other free end is supported by a projecting part formed on the middle of the arm. There is an arm stopper on one side of the bracket.
