<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize sludge setting properties for a long period without affecting badly active sludge of different kind phase by providing a means to control the injection quantity of an aggregating agent basing on the measured features amount of microbes. CONSTITUTION:Mixed liquid 9 of an aeration tank 1 is photographed by a photographing device 10, and thread-like microbes and aggregating microbes in active sludge contained in the mixed liquid 9 is represented in images by an image recognizing means 20, and then the mixture of the thread-like microbes and average diameter of aggregating microbes are found out of said represented images by a features amount computing means 30. An output value from said computing means 30 is compared with a set value of a setting means 100 by a judging means 40 to judge whether bulking of sludge in or not. As a result, in case bulking of active sludge is judged to exist, sludge settling properties are stabilized for a long period of time by a regulating means 50 actuated correspondingly to the factor of the bulking image, operating an aggregating agent device 80 and controlling the quantity of aggregating agent injected from a storage tank 18 into the aeration tank 1.</p> |
