The invention relates to a protected remote-electric-control lock, whose locking member 1 can be moved from a locked position to an open position by remotely applying an electric voltage to an appropriate element 3 associated with the said member. This lock comprises, immediately adjacent to its electrically excitable element 3, at least one electric contact 9 mounted in series with this element and an electronic circuit 12 for controlling this contact, connected to the same wires 8 as the element and arranged so as to close the said contact only in response to the reception of a predetermined encoded signal. <IMAGE>
