A process for increasing productivity of cysomycin is provided. Thus, micromonospora KFCC 10188 was cultured in a seed culture medium contg. 0.1% dextrose, 0.3% beef ext., 0.5% trypton, 0.5% yeast ext., 2.4% starch and 0.2% CaCO3. The main culture was carried out in a medium contg. 7% dextrin, 3.5% soybean cake, 5g CaCO3, 5g corn ext. soln., 5X10-4% CoCl2, and 0.2% methionine. The culture condns. were 32 C, 300rpm, 225 cm/sec of Tip speed and 0.5 (Di/Dt) of stirrer size. The best result was obtained at Vaned disc type fermenter and the yield was 2,100 μg/ml of cysomycin.
