<p>PURPOSE:To make a transfer molding operation unnecessary by a method wherein a part between a light-emitting element and a photodetector is sealed by using a transparent resin and the outside of a transparent-resin sealed part including a switching element is sealed by using a light-shielding resin. CONSTITUTION:A light-emitting element 11 and a photodetector 12 are mounted on an organic substrate 10 such as a glass-fiber contained epoxy resin substrate or the like where a desired circuit pattern has been formed; a switching element 13 which is driven by the elements 11, 12 is also arranged on the same substrate 10. The light-emitting element 11 and the photodetector 12 are sealed by using a transparent resin 15 so that light can be transmitted between them; an optical path is formed. Light emitted from the light-emitting element 11 is reflected inside the transparent resin 15 and is incident on the photodetector 12. Then, the outside of the transparent resin 15 and the switching element 13 are sealed by using a light-shielding resin 17 in order to prevent the light from entering from the outside and to protect the elements mechanically or against an outside environment. By this setup, a transfer molding operation is made unnecessary.</p> |
