СПОСОБ ОПРЕДЕЛЕНИЯ СОСТОЯНИЯ МЕТАБОЛИЧЕСКИХ ПРОЦЕССОВ В ТКАНИ СУСТАВНОГО ХРЯЩА

FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopaedics. ^ SUBSTANCE: for analysis of potential reparative processes in cartilage tissue, synovial fluid is tested for uronic acids, galactose and sulphated glysaminoglycan (S-GAG) content. If S-GAG content is higher than 140 mkg chondroitin sulphate ""/ml and galactose higher than 3.5 mg/ml active destructive process is indicated. If S-GAG level is lower than 80 chondroitin sulfate ""/ml and galactose lower than 1.0 mg/ml degenerate changes are present in cartilage tissue. In case of further decrease in indicators content degeneration degree is considered to be increased. In case ratio of uronic acids to galactose is decreased lower than 0.6 stable degenerative changes are considered to be present. ^ EFFECT: method application provides structural and characteristic analysis of metabolic processes in articular cartilage to select adequate tactics of complex joint treatment. ^ 3 ex
