The circuit for providing a stop command against to the ring signal in short time comprises a CPU (1) of the exchanger; a ring signal providing cct. (2); a telephone cct. (3) of the subscriber; an off- hook state detecting cct. (4); a memory (5) for storing the detection signal of off-hook state, providing ring-off signal when receiving the detection signal during certain time, and providing the output of (5) to the CPU (1) when receiving the detection signal during a period longer than a certain time; and a memory (6) for storing the ring control signal, stopping the supply of the ring-off signal, and applying the state signal to the CPU (1) when receiving the ring-off signal from (5).
