<p>PURPOSE:To improve the peformance, by inserting and fixing a sliding member to amagnetic head element for simplifying the constitution and the manufacture, in a composite magnetic head where a sliding member is provided at a nearly middle position of a magnetic gap of plural adjacent head elements. CONSTITUTION:The sliding member 9 formed by folding a nonmagnetic metallic plate into channel shape clips the magnetic head element 1 with its curved part, and inserted into a housing 3 together with a head element 2 to form a composite magnetic head 11 with the bonding by an adhesive 5. A height (h) of the magnetic head elements 1, 2 from a sliding part 9a of a sliding surface should be kept conventionally as accurate as 0.01l, but the accuracy is obtained far easily in comparison with conventional heads.</p> |
