A portable power cutter for harvesting rice or the like comprises a disc cutter (1), a motor (2) for driving the cutter, means for adjusting the height of the cutter with several adjust bolts (7), guide means comprising a pair of front guide plates (10), a bottom plate (11) and a discharging guide plate (12), a frame having a handle (2), and four wheels (24). The cutter may be driven by the driving shaft of the motor through a pair of bevel gears (5) or a belt-pulley system. The guide means also comprises a hinged selection plate (14) for giving a left or right discharging passageway.
