<p>PURPOSE:To improve the switching operability of a paper feeder of a copier from automatic feeding over to manual feeding and simplify the structure of the feeder by opening and closing a manual feed table to automatically advance and retreat a manual guide member to and from between a paper feed roller and a paper pressing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a manual feed table 35 is opened as shown by a virtual line, a lead switch not shown in the picture is turned on to change over to a manual mode, and a paper feed push-up releasing lever 42 pushes a passive plate 30 to a position indicated by a virtual line through a pusher 44 to bring the pusher 44 into engagement with a click notch portion 30b, so that the passive plate 30 is locked. This results in that an automatic paper feed handling member not shown in the picture separates from a paper feed roller 12, and a manual guide plate 46 fitted to a rotary shaft 41 slides on a manual pressing shaft 48, so that the forward Mylar plate 46 advances between the paper feed roller 12 and the handling member to enable manual feeding. In this arrangment, the switching operability of manual feeding and automatic feeding can be improved.</p> |
