The device has a transmitting aerial (2) and a receiving aerial (3) arranged on a non metallic tube (1) in a parallel and contact-less manner. The transmitting and receiving aerials are covered with an insulating material, and are respectively connected to an emitter (5) and a receiver (6). The tube has orifices for passage of a microwave energy conductive fluid (4) e.g. water. The aerial (3) receives a signal when the fluid reaches the aerial (3), where the signal is utilized for animating information or reaction acting on an alarm triggering element to signal the fluid level.
