A return roller exchanging apparatus for a belt conveyor is provided to improve the work efficiency by exchanging a return roller without stopping a belt conveyor in operation. A return roller exchanging apparatus for a belt conveyor includes a pair of bodies(110), a rotational body(120), a fixing bolt(113), a separation preventing pin(125), a fastening member(127), and a handle(130). Each body has a through-hole and a fixing hole. A bush or a bearing is installed in the through-hole. Each body includes a rotation guide hole. A concave recess is formed in the rotational body. A catching boss and a plurality of spiral holes are formed in the rotational body. The fixing bolt penetrates the fixing hole to be engaged with the spiral hole. The separation preventing pin is U-shaped to prevent separation of the return roller. A spiral portion is formed on the outer surface of an insert hole. The fastening member attaches the bodies to the rotation body. The handle is inserted into the insert hole. A rotational shaft is formed in the handle.
