In a method for entering a calibration value into a control device, particularly for power control of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, where instead of a quantity to be detected an input quantity which is related to the quantity to be detected is fed to the control device, a program, which is stored in a memory of the control device, for entry of the calibration value, is started, the quantity to be detected is changed to a preset value, and when the preset value of the quantity to be detected is reached, the input quantity is converted into the calibration value, and the calibration value is stored in a non-volatile memory. <IMAGE>
