An agitator for mounting on a mixing vessel, comprising a carrier frame provided with a mounting flange for securing it on a mixing vessel at one end, and at the other end, a housing accommodating a transmission, an agitator shaft consisting of several parts and rotatably mounted in said carrier frame by means of bearings, a releasable shaft coupling disposed adjacent said carrier frame, and a sealing assembly surrounding said shaft adjacent the carrier frame end facing towards said vessel, characterized in that said mounting flange (2) is formed as a circular segment and mounted for pivoting about a pin (18) extending parallel to said agitator shaft (22) at an excentric position relative thereto and carried by a transmitter flange (16). |
