Multi-stage primary transmission with an auxiliary drive with free wheel for rubber-processing and plastic-processing extruders

A multi-stage primary transmission is disclosed for the transfer of great torques, which exhibits little wear with regard to the mounting and involves relatively low capital expenditure. This aim is achieved by the arrangement of respectively interacting gear wheel pairs on separately mounted shaft pieces which can be coupled together to form various switching variations. The usual flexures of the input and output shafts and the associated problems are thus avoided.
