PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device excellent in the durability thereof by a method wherein an ignition timing determining member such as a contact breaker, whose contact is opened and closed by a cam on a rotating shaft synchronizing with the revolution of the engine, or the like is mounted on a movable plate while the plate is pivoted in accordance with the rotating speed of the rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:The movable plate 18 is supported at the inner peripheral side of a fixed plate 14, fixed in a housing 1, through a bearing 14a. The movable plate 18 is pivoted by the advancing and retreating movement of a movable iron core 20d, which is moved in accordance with the conduction of the exciting coil 20b of an electromagnetic pivoting device 20. The contact breaker 16, as the ignition timing determining member, is attached to the movable plate 18 and the contact 16a thereof is made ON and OFF by the rotation of a cam 11 attached to the rotating shaft 3 synchronizing with the revolution of the engine as before. Said electromagnetic pivoting device 20 is controlled in accordance with the output of a rotating speed detecting means 19, detecting the rotating speed of the rotating shaft 3, and thereby advancing or delaying the ignition timing. |
