<p>PURPOSE: To promote catalyzer activation in starting by arranging a catalyzer spaced from a housing wall inside an exhaust gas muffler. CONSTITUTION: A housing 17 of an exhaust gas muffler 8 is formed by a housing portion 18 adjacent a cylinder 12 and a housing shell 19. A separate wall 25 is fixed inside the housing shell 19. A catalyzer 24 is supported in a through hole of the separate wall 25. The catalyzer 24 is spaced from the housing wall. Thus, as the catalyzer is insulated, the converting process starts immediately after start. Therefore, catalyzer activation can be promoted.</p> |
