In PCT/DE 85/00152 the formation of a hot zone, which brought important new information, had been achieved by a conversion of the kinetic energy of the pressure wave released from the exhaust gas quantum on the engine exhaust into thermal energy. In P 3700182.5, extension of this effect to new intake-side adjustments to the phenomena was successful in obtaining an <<abrupt emission>>, which maintains the thermodynamic variables pressure, density and temperature in time with the charge cycle for a further distance in the exhaust line. The present application improves this technology by a synchronous system of special construction, which stabilises this energetic speeding up of the exhaust emission process for all operating conditions of the engine and thereby increases the degree of air charging with reaction within the port and valve overlap zone of engines, even in multi-cylinder engines. This results in an exhaust gas of ecologically acceptable quality without reducing the engine power.
