The aim is to create an improved transmission device which, in addition, has at least one housing 10 which can be mounted on a disc 9 in such a manner that it can be removed by unauthorised persons only if they use a relatively large force, but can, however, be easily removed from the disc by authorised persons. The transmission device has a signal transmitter and a signal receiver which can be arranged on different sides of a disc 9 and in which, for example, the signal transmitter can be arranged in a housing. The housing has a mounting part 10, 13 which can be connected to the disc 9, and a viewing part 19, both of which define a hollow space 12 for a signal transmitter and/or receiver and inside of which the viewing part 19 can be connected to the mounting part 10, 13 by means of a connecting means 23' which is accessible from outside for authorised persons, but is not visible to unauthorised persons. <IMAGE>
