The present invention relates to chemi-pharmacology and can be used in medical practice in regimen of monotherapy in complex treatment of rhinitis of different etymology.There proposed disulfide tetralithium salt and an original method for production thereof. The method comprises oxidation of the initial compound–reduced glutathion (&bgr;-L-glutamyl–L-glycinecysteinyl)–by hydrogen peroxide in the presence of liquid ammonia; isolation of free hexapeptide (bis-(&bgr;-L-glutamyl)-L-cystinyl-bis-glycine) by acidation of solution of ice acetic acid; transfer of oxidated form of free hexapeptide to tetralithium salt, vacuum filtration of the solution, stabilization of disulfide bond of hexapeptide by ultraviolet irradiation of the reaction solution; isolation of the target product using the method of lyophilization.The inventive preparation can be used as a medicament for the prophylaxis and treatment of rhinitis of different etymology, including vasomotor rhinitis. A pharmaceutical composition is prepared comprising disulfideglutathion tetralithium salt, zinc sulfate, hydrogen peroxide, adrenalin and water for injections. Medicaments are proposed based on said pharmaceutical composition, e.g. nasal drops and spray. A method is also proposed for prophylaxis and treatment of different nosological forms of acute and chronic infection and allergic diseases of mucous nose.
