PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of usage convenience by cutting fed roll paper, when a document conveying trouble is detected, after detection by a paper detecting means separated by a paper conveying necessary length from a roll paper cut position. CONSTITUTION:When a document conveying trouble is detected by a signal of document detecting sensors PS8-PS11 in an automatic document circulating conveyer 50, paper, fed from roll paper 31 or 32 in a paper feed part 30, is cut by a cutter 41 after a paper detecting sensor PS20, provided separating by a necessary paper conveying length from a position of the cutter 41, detects a point end of the paper. Conveying the cut paper by a timing roller 40 transcribing a toner picture image on a sensitive unit drum 2 by a transcribing charger 7, the paper is discharged onto a paper discharge tray 48 via a fixing device 43 while the copying action thereafter is suspended. In this way, the operator need only process the trouble of a document, and the waste in roll paper is eliminated while usage convenience improves. |
