The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock comprising a locking mechanism (3, 4) that is substantially composed of a rotary latch (3) and a pawl (4). Moreover, an intermediate element (5, 6, 7) is provided which interacts on the rotary latch (3) and/or the pawl (4). Said intermediate element (5, 6, 7) transmits movements of the locking mechanism (3, 4) to a sensor (8). According to the invention, the intermediate element (5, 6, 7) encompasses at least one rotary latch spring element (5, 6) that is controlled by the rotary latch (3) and stores the movements thereof as well as a pawl element (7) which is impinged upon by the pawl (4). The combined movement of said at least one rotary latch spring element (5, 6) and the pawl element (7) is evaluated by the sensor (8). |
