Nozzles (2') of nozzle plate (2) and through-openings (3') of intermediate plate (3) are arranged to communicate with each other. In front of the intermediate plate (3), guide plate (4) which has guide holes (4') is set. A slide plate (6) which has holes (6') and are attached to piezoelectric element (5) moves in the guide hole (4') by the action of (5) to communicate the holes and openings. When the power of ink-jet printer is off, the slide plate (6) returns to block holes and nozzles and prevent holes (2',3') from being blocked with dried ink.
