PURPOSE:To apply magnification/reduction of a picture with high accuracy by storing a magnification/reduction data set based on a constant decided in response to the magnification/reduction into a ROM and using a data read from the ROM so as to overlap or interleave the picture element. CONSTITUTION:A data is stored in an area using magnification/reduction constants A, B, C as addresses decided by the magnification/reduction rate. At first, each bit of the 1st magnification/reduction data read from the ROM 3 by using the constant C as the address signal is added with the constant B to form the address signal of a ROM 7. When the magnification/reduction data read from the ROM 7 is 1, overlap or interleave is applied and when 0, the processing is intermitted. Thus, in case of magnification, the 2nd clock with a different phase from that of the 1st clock by 180 deg. is generated when the data is 1 and the two clocks are used to expand the picture element twice. Thus, the picture is magnified and reduced with high accuracy. |
