Die Erfindung betrifft ein 3-bas. Bleidimethylolpropionat der Formel 3PbO x Pb [CH3-C(CH2OH)2COO]2 als neue Bleiverbindung sowie eine diese Verbindung enthaltende Stabilisatorzusammensetzung für halogenhaltige Vinylpolymerisate. Das 3-bas. Bleidimethylolpropionat wird hierin in Kombination mit einem Oxidationsmittel eingesetzt, sowie ggf. mit weiteren üblichen Stabilisatoren, Hilfs- und Füllstoffen.
