PURPOSE:To produce an exterior blade rubber hose having a thin outer surface rubber layer by a simple method containing no lead-encasing vulcanization process, by forming a reinforcing layer and a semi-vulcanized thin rubber layer to the outer periphery of an inner surface rubber layer in succession and braiding an exterior blade on the outer periphery thereof before vulcanizing the whole in an oven. CONSTITUTION:For example, unvulcanized NBR is extruded to the outer periphery of a mandrel to form an inner surface rubber layer 1 and a wire or fiber yarn is spirally wound around the outer periphery of the inner surface layer 1 to form a reinforcing layer 2. Separately, for example, CR rubber is extruded from an extruder and subsequently heated to form a semi-vulcanized thin rubber sheet which is, in turn, wound around the outer periphery of the reinforcing layer 2 without generating a gap to form a semi-vulcanized thin rubber layer 3. Next, fiber yarn or a wire is braided on the outer periphery of the semi- vulcanized thin rubber layer 3 to form an exterior blade 4. At last, the whole of the hose is introduced into an oven and vulcanized under a heating and non-pressure condition in a dry atmosphere. |
