PURPOSE:To improve S/N and to reduce an energy consumption by forming an electrode connected electrically to a magnetic resistance effect element with a superconducting thin film. CONSTITUTION:Into a permeability material 1 composed of an Mn-Zn ferrite, a non-magnetic material 2 is embedded and a single side core is formed. A magnetic resistance effect element 4 and an electrode 15 are at the opposite side and connected electrically while the single side core and a non-magnetic insulating film 3. When a signal magnetization recorded at a magnetic medium 6 is reproduced, the magnetic flux induced from the magnetization is made into the resistance change of the element 4, a constant current is supplied from the electrode 15 and a reproduction output voltage is obtained. Here, when the electrode 15 is formed by the superconducting thin film, the resistance heat to occur at the electrode 15 becomes approximately zero. Consequently, the heat noise from the electrode 15 is eliminated, the S/N is improved and the energy consumption at the electrode 15 is minimized. |
