发明名称 THERMALLY SUBLIMABLE TRANSFER BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To repeat printing a plurality of times at the same part with a minimum reduction of recording image density, by providing a first ink layer of a heat sublimable dye and a second ink layer of the heat sublimable dye and a resin binder successively on a heat resistant substrate. CONSTITUTION:On a heat resistant substrate, a sublimable dye is formed in film form by vacuum deposition, sublimation, coating etc., to form a first ink layer, and a solution dissolving the aforesaid dye and a resin is applied and dried to form a second ink layer. Here, as a method for forming the first ink layer a vacuum deposition is preferably employed from the standpoint of a film forming speed and the uniformity of the film. The first and second ink layers are suitably 0.5-3mum and 0.5-5mum in thickness, respectively. As the heat sublimating dye used in the first and second ink layers, a sublimating dispersion dye or basic dye is used, and easpecially an anthraquinone or azo dye is mostly used. As the resin binder, a polyethylene oxide - polyvinyl butyral resin mixed system is particularly desirable because of its good compatibility with the heat sublimating dye.
