PURPOSE:To polish lens highly accurately by providing a drive control circuit for controlling a driving means such that a rolling member rolls reciprocally within a random rolling range around a random rotary angle position, thereby varying the center and the amplitude of lens randomly. CONSTITUTION:Reciprocal rotary range of a driving means 22 is controlled through a drive control circuit 24 so as to roll a rolling member 13 reciprocally with a random amplitude around a random angular position through a drive lever 23 and a link 21. Consequently, a lens held at a tip of the rolling member 13 rollable around an axis 10 passing through the center of the lens is randomly varied of its center and amplitude of rolling, thus polishing the lens highly accurately on a polishing dish 2. |
