Rotational locking device for a metallurgical vessel tapping hole comprises a refractory rotor which can be turned by drive about axis in refractory stator. The rotor has a flow channel which is opened/closed by rotating the rotor body. Both the rotor and stator are arranged inside the vessel in the wall cladding and optionally in the bottom cladding.
