PURPOSE: To prevent generation of pollutant water by making the diameter of the male thread of the pipe end corrosion-preventive core screwed in the joint body be consistent with the diameter of the taper female thread in the range of the standard length of the taper male thread from the end surface of the joint body±1 pitch. CONSTITUTION: Taper female thread 16 is provided on the joint portion 15 of the joint body 1. The thread is engaged with the male thread 19 provided on the outer periphery of a jaw member 18 of a movable pipe end corrosion- preventive core 17. The diameter of the male thread 19 is consistent with the diameter of the taper female thread 16 in the range of the standard length a of the taper male thread 19 from the end surface of the joint portion 15±1 pitch. The taper male thread 9 of a steel pipe 2 is engaged and coupled with the taper female thread 16 while the inner peripheral surface of the steel pipe 2 is inserted to and engaged with the body 20 arranged on the pipe end corrosion-preventive core 17. As a result, the setting of the pipe end corrosion- preventive core will not be forgotten, and it is possible to eliminate the space allowing generation of pollutant water.
