PURPOSE:To obtain the title superconducting material expressed by the formula LnBa2(Cu1-zPb2)3O7-x (Ln is Y, La, etc.) with enhanced density of the sintered form or decreased sintering temperature by making the z-value fall within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:The objective superconducting material expressed by the formula LnBa2(Cu1-zPbz)3O7-x (z satisfies the relationship: 0.02<=z<=0.2; Ln is at least one kind of metal selected from Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu) in which the B-site of perovskite has been replaced by the low-melting PbO to effect solid solution leading to enabling the density of the sintered form to be increased without deteriorating its properties at equal sintering temperature, also the temperature giving the equal density of the sintered form to be decreased. In this case, if the Ba at the A-site of perovskite is replaced by the PbO leading to solid solution, the properties will deteriorate, thus being unfavorable. |
